Speak Life Day is a movement that brings people together for one day with one purpose: to use our words to encourage, inspire, affirm, and uplift others.

In 2009, Hayward Jean founded Speak Life Enterprises with a mission to encourage people to recognize the power of their words and use them to speak life. Speak Life is a motivational vehicle designed to impact and empower lives through keynotes & more!

In September 2020, Starlette Jean created Speak Life Day as a surprise for Hayward, bringing people together to support the mission he had been carrying for more than a decade.

In 2021, Starlette took the movement a step further by reaching out to Orangeburg Mayor Michael C. Butler and asking for the city's support of Speak Life Day. The City of Orangeburg officially recognized Speak Life Day with a proclamation, marking an important milestone as the movement continued to grow.

What started as a surprise has grown into an annual movement celebrated in communities across the country, growing bigger and reaching more people each year.

Orangeburg County School District was the first school district to embrace Speak Life Day, making history and helping pave the way for its continued growth. Since then, Speak Life Day has been celebrated in schools across Sumter, Calhoun, Dorchester, and Lexington Counties.

One day. One message. Many voices.

SPEAK LIFE.
